ZAPWARE creator Becca Van K knew the need for better bug protection firsthand: as a Lyme disease survivor and a natural mosquito magnet, she was on a mission to find gear that was both protective and aesthetic. Unable to find what she wanted, she decided to sew some. Now, with climate change bringing new, alarming insect-borne illnesses and longer tick seasons, it feels more important than ever to protect ourselves from bug bites.
